Youth Groups

USYFun_0.jpg

Youth Groups provide a wide variety of programs and activities. Lifelong friendships and memories are created through participation in these terrific programs.

At Agudat Achim we have two groups for our youth Kadima and USY.

What is USY?

USY stands for United Synagogue Youth, and it is the youth group associated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. USY is divided into three levels: the chapter, the region and international USY.  Our region, the Tzafon Region of USY , is composed of chapters from all over Upstate NY. The third level is the international level, made up of all the regions from all over the United States and Canada. Across this area, there are seventeen regions.

Check us out on Facebook we have our own page!

What is Kadima?

The international youth organization for Jewish pre-teens. Sponsored by the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, Kadima offers programs through Congregation Agudat Achim. Kadima is the middle school age affiliate of United Synagogue Youth and The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Kadima is Hebrew for "forward."  Kadima at Agudat Achim is a new, fresh, hip youth group designed for Jewish 6th – 8th graders in the Niskayuna area. Agudat Achim Kadima offers an exciting and full program of socials, trips, get-togethers, holiday observances, and much more.

All programs supervised by the Education and Youth Director Jack Mintzer  and parent advisors Jill Bucinell, Matt Frank and Jackie Rowen.
