· It is impossible to count the number of times we are told how enjoyable the Carrot Festival is and how well it represents our synagogue. This year we have planned an even bigger event. The internationally acclaimed band Flame will entertain, there will be a “Giving Ten’t” full of local charitable organizations, and even a “guess the weight of a giant pumpkin!” All of this is in addition to our regular festival activities; superb food, crafters galore, kids activities, a petting zoo, a fresh produce stand, more music, and of course the best carrot cake ever.
So what can you do to support the Carrot Festival, our largest fundraiser? First, send in the volunteer form because your presence at the festival will make it that much easier and enjoyable for everyone. Second, if you are looking for volunteer activities before the festival, help is always needed in the kitchen (trust us, it is fun and you will be taught everything). The cooking schedule will be out soon. Third, publicizing the event by posting the Carrot Festival on community calendars helps to bring in the crowd. Does your office have a community calendar? How about your favorite radio station? How about posting the Carrot Festival announcement in your office. Finally, a “Sponsor a Carrot” donation form was mailed and any financial support you can provide is appreciated. If you would like to help, contact Hillary Fink (hbean5891@aol.com) or Andy Gavens (agavens@nycap.rr.com). With your help we can make this the best and most productive Carrot Festival ever! Volunteer Form and Sponsor a Carrot forms are attached to this email.
